Origin Story
David Middleton graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, and a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling. He is a Certified Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition approved by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC).
In addition to his academic background, he has successfully navigated the corporate world for many years, and has extensive experience in management, business, and sales. Through observation and his own experiences, he’s seen many individuals struggling with physical and behavioral health issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, frustration, lack of energy, unhealthy weight gain, and overall feelings of general “helplessness / stuckness”. He feels passionate about returning to his field of study and believes he can help others from what he has discovered throughout his journey. Health, fitness, and overall wellness have always been huge priorities in his life, and he has successfully implemented his own set of wellness Tools to overcome sticking points and obstacles; which is why he feels passionate about helping others do the same. With proper guidance and support, the right set of tools can help you increase focus and self discipline, manage stress, boost energy, improve sleep, reduce anxiety, increase stamina, and increase overall self confidence and a sense of peace. The overall goal is to find a SUSTAINABLE healthy balance while cultivating Mental, Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual Fitness.
Our Mission
Imperfect Odyssey is about creating Sustainable Positive Changes through making minor adjustments in habits and thought patterns in order to create positive momentum, increased self awareness, and increased self confidence. We work with the client to identify positive and negative thought patterns / feedback loops, as well as examining the role of conditioning and it’s impact on the client’s daily life.
The approach emphasizes a holistic view of health with equal emphasis on Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Spiritual Health. We work collaboratively with the client by providing Support, Compassion, Inspiration, Accountability, and Motivation. Positive lasting change takes a lot of energy, strength, and discipline and we work closely with each client to explore and nurture their strengths, recognize and overcome negative thought patterns / feedback loops, reduce stress and anxiety, develop healthy coping skills, and increase energy and self confidence.
The overall goal is to provide a supportive and safe environment for the client to work through and make gradual sustainable positive changes, increase self-awareness, and build positive momentum in order to break through obstacles and sticking points.
